String Inverter
Inverters are responsible for converting the energy generated by solar modules into usable electricity for home or business equipment.
The string inverter differs from hybrid and off-grid inverters by not supporting battery storage systems.
Hybrid Inverter
A hybrid inverter is considered a more advanced and intelligent solution. It converts solar energy and integrates battery management, allowing automatic control of energy flow: immediate consumption, storage for future use, or grid injection.
This provides greater autonomy, savings, and flexibility, making the solar system more efficient.
Hybrid inverters have or may include a backup output, enabling the system to continue operating with stored battery energy in case of a grid failure.

An off-grid system (also known as an isolated system) is completely independent from the public power grid. All consumed energy is generated and stored locally, typically through photovoltaic solar panels, batteries, and sometimes auxiliary generators.
The energy produced by the solar modules is directed to a charge controller that manages the battery system (mandatory in this setup) and the interaction with the installation’s consumption.
Off-grid systems differ from hybrid ones by having no support from the public grid and requiring specific equipment designed to operate independently.
